Easter Island (Rapa Nui: Rapa Nui, Spanish: Isla de Pascua) is a Polynesian island in the southeastern Pacific Ocean, at the southeasternmost point of the Polynesian Triangle. Easter Island is famous for its 887 extant monumental statues, called moai, created by the early Rapa Nui people. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with much of the island protected within Rapa Nui National Park.Polynesian people settled on Easter Islandin the first millenium CE, and created a thriving culture, as evidenced by the moai and other artifacts. However, human activity and overpopulation led to gradual deforestation and extinction of natural resources, which caused the demise of the Rapa Nui civilization. Easter Island is one of the most remote inhabited islands in the world.Easter Island is a special territory of Chile that was annexed in 1888. Administratively, it belongs to the Valparaíso Region and more specifically, is the only commune of the Province Isla de Pascua. According to the 2012 census, it has about 5,800 residents, of which some 60% are descendants of the aboriginal Rapa Nui.AHU is a ceremonial platform used in Easter Island, where they worshiped their ancestors. Constructed of embedded stones form the base where the Moai then be located.Typically located pararelos the coast, or in relation to astronomical orientations.There are many differents AHU in Easter Island.

Tasting Notes Appearance: Bright, deep red color. Nose: Intense nose of plum, hazelnut and cacao. In mouth: Medium bodied, with velvety evolution; chocolate aromas in finish. Pairing recommendation: Stewed chicken.

Chardonnay


Tasting Notes Appearance: Straw color with gold highlights. Nose: Intense nose of pear, pineapple and acacia flowers. In mouth: Mouth entry fresh; medium bodied, with outstanding notes of exotic fruit in the finish. Pairing recommendation: Chicken, turkey.

Sauvignon Blanc

Tasting Notes Appearance: Bright, pale yellow with green highlights. Nose: Intense nose of citrus and green apples, with a faint hint of grass. In mouth: Crisp mouth entry; light bodied, with a very fresh finish. Pairing recommendation: Green salads, ceviche, sushi.

Rosé

Tasting Notes Appearance: Pale, brilliant pink. Nose: Elegant nose of raspberry and cherry with a hint of mint. In mouth: Vigorous in the mouth with light acid on the palate; an interesting finish replete with red fruits. Pairing recommendation: Aperitif, pastas.

Cabernet Sauvignon


Tasting Notes Appearance: Intense ruby red color. Nose: Intense nose of ripe strawberry, anis, liquor ice and caramel. In mouth: Fresh and round on the palate with firm tannins that combine well with the toasty finish. Pairing recommendation: Roasted short ribs with aromatic spices.

Carmenere


Tasting Notes Appearance: Deep red color with violet highlights. Nose: Intense nose of raspberry, chocolate, menthol and a hint of smoke. In mouth: Smooth mouth entry, full on the palate and well-balanced. Pairing recommendation: Soused rabbit.

Merlot


Tasting Notes Appearance: Deep ruby red color with cherry highlights. Nose: Intense nose of raspberry, candied fruit, spices and toasting. In mouth: Complex, balanced and supple on the palate. Pairing recommendation: Prosciutto.

Malbec


Tasting Notes Appearance: Intense ruby red color. Nose: Complex and elegant nose. In mouth: Presents a delicate combination of red fruits and spices, combined with notes of vanilla and chocolate. Pairing recommendation: Well-seasoned meats.

Syrah

Tasting Notes Appearance: Deep ruby red with reddish violet highlights. Nose: Intense nose of raspberry, black fruits, pepper and notes of toast. In mouth: Round and harmonious, plentiful fruit, with a smoky finish. Pairing recommendation: Pork loin with mustard sauce.

Pinot Noir


Tasting Notes Appearance: Cherry-colored with red highlights. Nose: Intense nose of strawberry, clove, coffee and toast. In mouth: Full mouth feel, spicy, with smoky, with toasting notes in the finish. Pairing recommendation: Pork loin with wine sauce.

Chardonnay

Late Harvest

Tasting Notes Appearance: Golden yellow. Nose: Intense nose of peach, walnut, almond and honey. In mouth: Ample and balanced, thanks to good acidity. Pairing recommendation: Foie gras, blue cheese.

Family Reserve Wines

Cabernet Sauvignon


Tasting Notes Appearance: Very intense, very dark red, opaque color. Nose: Complex nose with plums, cherries, liquorice, vanilla and cocoa. Full bodied with firm yet blended tannins as well as hints of cherry, prunes and toffee on the finish. Pairing recommendation: Beef filet with fine herbs.
